Loves Lane
We arrived Friday evening to be greeted by Bob, thanks to you and Carol for stewarding.
It was rather windy but fine, after having our tea we joined the rest in the party tent for an evening social. Nine units were on site.
Saturday morning we were invited to join Derrick and his group for a walk to Ashwell Village after a stop off at the pub , The Bushell and Strife ,than we went into the local church. We were very impressed by the church and also managed to climb the stone steps up to the tower, to the point where the bells are pulled.
In the evening we had cheese and wine followed by a game of Yahtzee for anyone that wanted to join in. Sunday morning 11 o’clock coffee, breeze still quite strong but weather was fine. Another game of Yahtzee then afternoon tea and scones and strawberries and cream. Unfortunately we were unable to stay until the close on Monday but would like to thank H&NLDA for there hospitality and making us feel very welcome.

Theobalds Meet 18th-20th June
We had 9 units out and was hoping for the extra 1 as the DA has to pay for 10 units as this is a club site.
The weather was not kind to us, rather cold but we managed to have tea/coffee and strawberries from Dorn and Peter’s garden on Saturday morning and happy hour in the afternoon, all wrapped up in fleeces and huddled under their awning.
Site Manager Martin said we could use the information room for our Saturday Evening Social. First of all we had our Chinese meal than Phil and Liz Masters joined us to celebrate their Silver Wedding Anniversary (which was on the Monday) and we all had a glass of Champagne and nibbles. Of course we toasted them and said they were babies, as Ray and Kathy were also celebrating there Anniversary of 57 years.
Liz and Phil provided a lovely cream cake at coffee morning, thank you both.
We are stewarding again at Theobalds on 17th-19th September and we will have another Chinese meal. It is a lovely meal just ask anyone who has had one at this meet, so why not join us.
